Benefits Of A Fold Up Treadmill For Women

!±8± Benefits Of A Fold Up Treadmill For Women

A woman who is holding down a job these days knows the importance of being physically fit. The demands of the job, transportation back and forth to work, purchasing groceries and clothing does not leave very much time for doing very much about exercise. This is where having a fold up treadmill is an excellent investment.

In addition to keeping the body healthy and in shape, using a treadmill on a regular basis helps keep the weight off and the body beautiful. Developing leg and arm muscles, as well as giving strength to the rest of the torso allows a person to present a public look of someone who is in excellent condition. For a young woman this can make a great deal of difference, not only in the office but also in the dating arena.

The great thing about this kind of a treadmill is that it offers all the benefits of a stationary machine yet is light weight enough to easily be folded up and put out of sight when not in use. In addition, it can conveniently be used in the morning to speed up the heart prior to taking a shower and hitting the street with enthusiasm for the day. If one does not wake up that easily then exercising in the evening before taking a shower and hitting the bed is an excellent time.

In today's competitive world it is important for a woman to not only dress well but be in excellent physical condition if they are going to compete in a man's business world. Men have respect and admire a woman who is not only fashionably dressed but one that the clothes fit a body that is not only healthy but in good shape. Good health is reflected in the way one is treated in this kind of a situation.

The modern fold up treadmill has all the bells and whistles of a stationary model. One can adjust the incline to a position of comfort, set the speed of the tread and allow listening to music with ear phones or watching a television set while going through the exercise paces. It is possible to go as fast or as slow as is comfortable, making becoming fit a part of one's life.

There is no question that if one does not exercise fat accumulates, the muscles sag and one has an all over feeling that something is wrong. Having an exercise program that is easy to do, with a treadmill, will build a foundation of strength that will be reflected not only in the body but in the opinion others have of one as well. Since all parts of the body are related to each other, having the body in good shape is going to relieve a lot of the stress that the average person has to contend with.

This type of treadmill comes in many different sizes so whether petite or plus size, there is one available. In addition, they are excellent in construction and completely safe to use at all times. Many models have additional features, such as heart monitors, that help one monitor how fast or slow they are going.

A fold up treadmill can be an effective and essential part of a woman's life. It can bring back muscle tone and strength, allow the entire body to regain its ability to walk distances and perform tasks easily and, most of all, make her feel better all over, from head to toe. This is an easy way to get, and stay, in shape.

How Treadmills Compare To Other Types Of Home Fitness Equipment

!±8± How Treadmills Compare To Other Types Of Home Fitness Equipment

When it comes to exercise, people like to walk or run. These are natural activities for us. They can have practical applications, such as getting from one place to another. They require less gear than many other forms of exercise (although you can spend a bundle on shoes, clothes and other accessories if you really wanted). And walking or running are great forms of exercise. They burn calories, work many muscle groups and strengthen cardiovascular components in the body. Walking is one of the best or perhaps the only feasible form of exercise for people with diseases such as osteoporosis, hypertension and chronic back pain. Walking doesn't require a lot of technical know-how or instruction. We already know how to do it, and a few pointers about heart rate and breathing will at least get us on the road. In general, walking and running are easy and convenient ways to improve health and fitness and a home treadmill adds to this overall appeal.

According to the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association, over 40 million consumers purchase treadmills each year and the number continues to grow. Treadmills account for over 1/3 of all home exercise equipment sales. So why do so many people choose treadmills and how do they compare to stair machines, stationary bikes and other home fitness equipment?

Ease and Convenience

The number one reason people use a treadmill is convenience. It allows you to exercise even when the weather is bad or the fitness center is closed. You can exercise in the early morning or after dinner or whenever the mood strikes you. You can even use your treadmill in the buff if you don't feel like washing your workout clothes.

You can read, watch TV, talk with friends, or listen to music or audiotapes while you exercise on a treadmill. You can keep an eye on your kids, wait for files to download, take care of dinner or the laundry and even meditate, think through problems or make grocery lists.

For those who need to stay in the office until five - even when it's not busy, or who prefer to exercise in the privacy of their own homes, a treadmill is ideal. Also, in some areas and neighborhoods, walking or running exposes one to traffic, muggers or vicious dogs. These hazards are avoided by using a treadmill.

Another reason people like treadmills is because you can just hop on and walk without a great deal of preparation and even if you don't work terribly hard at it, you still accomplish something. But today's treadmills make it easy to program in workout routines that simulate hills or vary speeds to enhance the effectiveness of your workout or challenge you to work harder and improve. The control panels are typically user friendly and many machines have built in heart rate monitors.

Clearly a treadmill provides several advantages over walking or running outside. And it is often easier and less expensive than other types of home exercise equipment, but how does it compare in terms of pure cardiovascular workout and calorie burning?

A Better Burn

According to a study done by the Medical College of Wisconsin and the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, a person using a treadmill for 60 minutes burns an average of 865-705 calories. Check that against other common exercise equipment:

· stair machine 746-637 calories burned

· rowing machine 739-606 calories burned

· stationary cycle 604-5956 calories burned

· cross-country ski machine 678-595 calories burned

Treadmill vs Elliptical Machine

What about the new elliptical machines? An elliptical cross trainer with handles to work the upper body provides a workout that compares to that of a treadmill when it comes to muscles used and heart rate issues. The main difference between the two types of home exercise equipment is that and elliptical machine operates more smoothly and creates less of an impact on bones and joints. This might be good for those with recent injuries or chronic conditions, but it is the impact that helps maintain or improve bone density, which in turn strengthens bones and prevents the loss of calcium.

Most experts agree that a healthy person needs the bouncing and jarring associated with walking or running to keep bones, muscles and joints working properly. A treadmill is one of the few home fitness machines that provide this type of exercise. And most come with a cushioned platform to minimize impact or keep it at an acceptable level. As with any form of exercise, it is a good idea to check with your doctor first if you have health conditions that may make it difficult or unwise for you to participate in certain activities.

With a treadmill, the concept is basically simple. If you want to work harder, you increase the incline or the speed. Usually this is done with a push of the button. An elliptical machine can be adjusted to target certain muscle groups, but it requires some knowledge and usually must be done manually. And because elliptical machines are relatively new to the home fitness market, there are fewer models to choose from and they tend to cost a bit more than the average treadmill. Some people have commented that they feel the elliptical machines can be more difficult to use because the motions do not feel as natural as walking or running. It is a good idea to try out any piece of exercise equipment before buying to see how it feels and fits with your needs.

Many people who exercise do so because they know they should, not because they thoroughly enjoy it. Sure you feel good after you complete your workout, but sometimes getting motivated can be difficult. And if you are going to put in the time, you want to know that what you're doing is actually helping you burn calories and become more fit. Treadmills rank at the top of the list when it comes to home fitness equipment, providing one of the most effective workouts in proportion to the amount of time spent. So make your movements count. Try a treadmill.

What You Need to Know Before Buying a Treadmill

!±8± What You Need to Know Before Buying a Treadmill

There are many facts that can be discussed when is time to buy a new treadmill. You can talk about the budget, the brand or the model but in the end what matter is that the machine will have to suite your needs.

If you don't know exactly you can end up paying 00 for a treadmill when in fact a 00 machine will be more than enough for you. Or you can spend some money on a treadmill that is not adequate and that cannot be use for your training sessions.

Before thinking how much money you will spend you have to consider things like the number of persons that will use this machine. More users imply a solid frame and powerful motor.

Another question you should get the answer before the actual purchase: "How thin or tall are the persons that will use it?" If the machine will be used by a tall person then you need to consider a longer belt. If the persons that will use it have a weight problem then you need to consider a machine with a powerful motor and wide deck.

If the treadmill will be used in 30 minutes session by single persons a lighter and cheaper machine can be a solution. In case the treadmill will be used in heavy running session then is clear that you need to buy a solid and expensive machine.

Many treadmills come with nice entertainment features like TV in console, sound systems or mp3 & iPod Docks. The question is: do you really need these things? Yes they are nice and make the treadmill look like a high tech machine but do you really need to spend an extra 0 on them? You can put the treadmill in a room with a TV and a sound system and you just saved a lot of money. You can also drop the TV and go for a better model with no TV but a better motor.

The same thinking applies when is about the fitness tools and other gizmos. If you have a limited budget you should invest only in core components like motor, frame or belt.

Anther factor you should consider is your fitness level. If you plan to do only walking workouts then you don't need to buy a treadmill with a top speed 15mph. You will never use it at full potential. So, save the money and chose model that will work for you.

Are you living in big house? If so you probably don't have to worry about the machine's size. But if you are living in an apartment you need to see if you have the necessary space In this case you may consider a folding one. This type can be fold and stored in closed or under beds. Check their dimensions before buying.

In many cases the budget may be real obstacle. That doesn't mean you have to go for a cheaper model if that will not fully satisfy you. What is the purpose to buy a treadmill that will not challenge you? Is better to wait a few months and save some extra cash. Many dealers will offer financing solutions so you can consider this option also.

As you can see there are many things to consider before buying a treadmill. Take a pen and put all these things on paper. After you will finish writing all your thoughts you will have a better idea the treadmill you need to buy.

    How to change the Treadmill

!±8± How to change the Treadmill

Is your treadmill worn, torn or curling at the edges? And 'to slow down in your treadmill when you start to step on the belt and the race?

If this is the case, then perhaps it's time to replace the tape.

Here are some things to consider before going to the belt.

    * 1 You need to make sure that the deck of the treadmill is in good condition. If it looks good then it can only be waxed or oiled.

    * 2 If the deck shows obvious signs of wear or have worn groovesthen it may need to replace the belt and deck.

    * 3 If the deck looks good, and the belt is worn or starting, turn on the edges, then it is time to replace the tape. Here are instructions for doing so. Most treadmills are basically the same thing, this is a generic set of instructions. If you need a manual, please follow the manufacturer's instructions.

At the beginning of the tape is changed, unplug the power cord and remove the motor cover or hood. Then tryScrews or bolts by which the belt tension must be adjusted. They are usually on both sides at the rear of the treadmill. Loosen both sides and slide the rear roller on the deck.

Now loosen and remove the front roller. If your treadmill inclines, turn on the unit and then raise the treadmill a few degrees so the roller can be removed. After the front roller, remove the rear roller. Now you are ready to remove the belt.

I know it would be easier to just copy off the old belt,But then if one piece you will notice how the new structure. On either side of the treadmill is located bolts or screws that hold the cover in place. Remove these and lift the lid and the old band together. Now it's time to wax or lubricate the deck.

Check the old belt and new belt. It will probably be a seam visible on the tape. Normally the belt should be installed so that the seam goes downward from left to right, are like a backslash. Some belt manufacturers must mark the belt on the inside with an arrow in the direction of travel belt.

Slide the tape deck in the right direction and put the belt and deck together again on the treadmill. Start all screws and bolts before tightening securely. Decks tend to deformed after a while ', so you may need a little push or pull' to start the screws. I discovered that it is a good idea to install the rollers before securely fasteningthe bridge to the frame.

Pull the strap on the back of the treadmill and slide the rear roller through it. Start the screws in the roller just enough so as not to fall. Now, slide the front roller inside the belt and replace the belt on the engine sprocket. Do it before pulling the roller. After the front roller is tight, then tighten the rear roller with the adjusting screws. Tighten each side equally until the belt feels comfortable on the deck.

Nowon the treadmill. When the tape starts moving, carefully step on the treadmill, while the side rails. When the tape stops, then you need to adjust more. Get off the treadmill, and tighten each turn the screw again and step on the tape. Repeat this process until the tape stops.

Now increase the speed to maintain a fast pace, the handrails and are under pressure as you walk on the treadmill. If the belt stops or hesitates then adjust a little '. Now you increase the speed of aJog, probably around 5 mph again, if you hesitate, the belt you feel when you take your foot to make it even more. Repeat this process until you are satisfied that the belt does not slip.

Be careful if you do not think you can pay someone to do it for you.

Please follow these instructions for safe and efficient use of your treadmill for you and your family.

The procedures for the control of these products are all in the report Treadmill!

!±8± Smooth 5.65 vs ProForm 540 treadmill - the treadmill that is right for you?

Priced for the consumer, the costs are on a budget, the ProForm 540 treadmill about $ 700 depending on where you buy it, so you might want to look around. Before buying, however, highlight the features and advantages of the ProForm 540 and Smooth 5.65 treadmill.

    ProForm 540 Treadmill

Here's what ProForm 540 may offer features and benefits:

    • capacity up to 10 mph
    • Removes up to 10%
    • One-touch control of the fast speed. The speed can be the key to be changed without

    • EKG heart rate monitor
    • Fold away for space-saving design
    • 2-speed Air-Cool Fans Workout
    • Mach Z Drive System
    • Maximum user weight is 300 pounds

To avoid stress on joints and back, the ProForm 540 comes with ProShox. This is an isolation shock. It also comes with a warranty. When you purchase this machineThey have a 10-year warranty on the motor and 90 days for parts and labor.

iFit is a further feature of this treadmill from ProForm. It's interactive, and adjusts the speed, incline and resistance to full stroke and / or potential running. You can connect the iFit website created for training by a certified trainer, or use a CD or video iFit, check that your training.

    Smooth 5.65 Treadmill

Coming around the $ 1,000 price range, the Smooth 5.65 treadmillsimilar performance and features of the ProForm. Here's what we want:

    • capacity up to 10 mph
    • Removes up to 15%
    • 20 "x 55" running surface
    • 14 built-in workouts
    • Supports heart rate
    • Folding frame
    • 2-speed fan
    • Maximum user weight is 275 pounds
    • 2.5 CHP

By comparison with shock-absorbing ProForm 540, the apartment comes with the 5.65-Pression ShockAbsorption cushioning system. It gives you a soft landing for the front foot and a company pushing the back foot. It also prevents the hard impact on your joints and back, so you can train more with less effort.

The model offers smooth-reading pulses from the handles. It monitors your pulse and automatically adjusts the intensity of exercise, so you get the most out of it.

An obvious limitation of this model is the 5.65 proper lifetime warranty on frame and motor, 3Years on all parts and electronics and 2 years on the domestic labor market. It also offers a room more inches for the larger foot treadmill users. One inch does not sound like much, but there's more jogging and / or training room for the person who has a greater stride length.

The guarantee is an important part of the value of a treadmill. A treadmill is an investment and make sure to cover the wear parts for the longevity of the product. Of the two treadmills in this test, you can see that theProForm 540 offers less protection than the Smooth 5.65. The ProForm 540 is less expensive, so it's up to you to decide now.
